I listen to a lot of stuff.

Nerdcore
Just the way that it sounds. Branch of hip-hop in the late 90s-early 00s, characterised by lyrics focusing on nerd shit. Think if your local IT techs or DnD club liked mediocre rap frequently mistaken for novelty music. My suggestion for an intro to the genre is MC Frontalot's album Zero Day. It covers a range of topics, from aforementioned DnD and IT work to mediocre action movies and 7-segment smut. Give it a listen. Or don't.
Doom Metal
I know, just the term metal conjures images of fast guitar riffs, blast beats, and cauterisingly fast rhythms intolerable to those without the difficultly acquired ear of a metalhead. Doom as a subgenre though, it's the opposite extreme. Not in lack of complexity, but instead bringing the pace down to a beat per second or less. Reverberating notes fade into each other, with song lengths almost never dipping below 10 minutes and ranging up to intricately assembled 80 minute tracks, with discernible movements and themes allowing for introspection and contemplation within their bounds. If I had to reccomend one album, it'd be Bell Witch's Longing, a funeral doom poster child and one of the best modern releases in the subgenre.
